Arizona State Parks: Social Content

The life of a park ranger is busy. Even though our staff at Lost Dutchman State Park really wanted to engage with visitors on social media, there never seemed to be enough hours in the day. I raised my hand to get scrappy and lead the effort, revamping our Instagram and Facebook channels so we could post a few times a week (instead of a few times a year). Collaborating with the other rangers, I turned field work into filming opportunities, capturing wildlife encounters, behind-the-scenes moments, and safety messages. Within three months of overhauling the channels, we saw a major response, not only online but with our visitors mentioning our posts as a reason they came to the park.
